Matuto is emerging internationally as a festival main-stage sensation. Rolling drums and quicksilver accordion licks, earthy vibes and thoughtful reflections mingle on the latest refinement of their Appalachia-gone-Afro-Brazilian sound, “The Devil and The Diamond” (Motema Music; release: May 14, 2013).

We’re looking forward to a very exciting 2013 that includes a 6 week tour in Africa and the release of our new album!  For now let’s take a look back at some past highlights as we prepare for our first performances of the new year at the APAP music conference in NYC.
